Good for anyone who wants Harry Potter's structure with looser, sillier energy and a heroine whose magic is mostly grit and enthusiasm.

But It's a black-and-white-era sitcom with canned laughter and dated gender politics; the humor is gentle, not manic.

Little Witch Academia's emotional core is the tension between stage illusion and real magic; The Prestige takes that exact tension and plays it as tragedy.
Christopher Nolan's obsessive thriller about rival stage magicians takes the same question Shiny Chariot poses — where does trick end and true wonder begin — and drags it somewhere devastating.
But It's a cold, twisty adult thriller with real cruelty in it; nothing like the show's warmth or comedy.

Same structural spine as Akko's arc — hopeless beginner, prestigious institution, stubborn self-belief as the actual superpower — just repotted into sports anime instead of fantasy.
Swap wands for volleyballs: a scrappy underdog with more heart than talent throws himself at a sport he's bad at, surrounded by teammates who slowly become family — pure believing-heart energy.
But There's zero magic, and it's a long, dense sports-anime commitment if competitive team dynamics don't grab you.
