Fairy tale
Fairy tales keep returning to the same bargain: a child or a foolish youngest sibling walks into the woods, makes a promise they don't fully understand, and must pay for it with courage or cleverness. The stories are short on realism and long on consequence, so a wish granted always has a price. Expect talking animals, enchanted houses and old curses, and a warm, slightly bittersweet feeling that rightness will out.
