See where the station-under-siege idea comes from — moody, paranoid, Cold War-flavoured science fiction made a full decade before Star Wars reshaped what the genre was allowed to look like.

But Slow and cheaply made by today's standards, with scripts that sometimes prioritise atmosphere over coherence.

Swap the alien ambassadors for aristocrats and servants: same structural bet, that drama comes from forcing incompatible factions to share one roof and negotiate daily peace.

If you love Babylon 5 for the politics of coexistence rather than the ray guns, this is the same pleasure in different costume — hierarchy, diplomacy and quiet warfare over dinner.
