A different flavour of ensemble comfort food — warmer, kinder, character-driven, and just as quotable, with a will-they-won't-they couple as steady as Leonard and Penny.

But Local-government mockumentary setting feels like a different genre entirely, with none of the science-nerd specificity.

Older and wordier, but just as devoted to a fussy intellectual whose brilliance never quite translates into being likeable — swap Sheldon's science for Frasier's opera.

But Slower pace, wittier but less broad, rooted in 90s Seattle radio culture rather than nerd fandom.

But No jokes, no romance plot, just real scientists doing real science — a slower, more patient kind of tension than a sitcom's.
