The Kelly Clarkson Show
- Comedy
- Light-hearted
- Dip in and out
A daytime talk show where Kelly Clarkson interviews celebrities, musicians, and everyday people with warmth and genuine curiosity. It's loose and funny rather than high-concept—more hanging out than interrogation. The appeal is Clarkson herself: funny, self-deprecating, willing to get messy about life's actual complications. For people who like their talk shows human-scaled and unguarded.
If you liked this
The Ellen DeGeneres Show2003
If you liked Kelly's rapport with guests and her ability to find humor in ordinary moments, Ellen's long-running show perfected that formula with games, celebrity interviews, and an infectious warmth that made everyone relax.
But After years on air it developed a reputation for sameness, and the novelty of celebrity chit-chat wears thin if you watch regularly.

The Talk2010
A panel show that does what Kelly does best—riff on life, relationships, and current events with unvarnished honesty. Five women talking over each other in the best way, hitting emotional truth alongside the laughs.
But With multiple hosts the energy can scatter, and when topics don't land, there's no single charismatic anchor to pull you through.

Late Night with Seth Meyers2014
A late-night talk show that prioritizes conversation over spectacle. Seth actually listens to guests, lets them talk, finds real moments of humor and connection. It's what talk shows could be if they slowed down.
But It's not daytime, so the energy is different. And if you don't like Seth's particular brand of humor, the whole show will feel like it's in the wrong lane.

The wildcard
Something you would not have found on your own.
Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee2012
Both shows are built on the idea that conversation itself is entertainment. Kelly's gift is making people comfortable enough to be genuine; so is this show, just without the studio lights and audience.
Jerry Seinfeld drives comedians around and talks to them—no audience, no structure, just conversation. It's what talk shows could be if they trusted silence and actual connection over entertainment-by-numbers. Messy, real, sometimes hilarious.
But There's no music, no games, no movement. If you need constant stimulation or don't care about the comedians featured, forty minutes of two people talking will feel very slow.

The Wendy Williams Show2008
Unfiltered, opinionated, funny, and genuinely interested in people rather than just their projects. Wendy shares Kelly's gift for making you feel like you're gossiping with a friend who doesn't pretend to be better than anyone.
But The show leans heavily into tabloid energy and can veer toward mean-spirited. If you prefer your humor less pointed, it'll feel like too much.

Rachael Ray2006
Another syndicated talk show that balances celebrity interviews, food, games, and genuine curiosity about people's lives. Rachael Ray has that same infectious enthusiasm and ability to make everyone feel welcome.
But It can feel scattered between too many segments. The cooking element won't matter if you're just there for the talk.

The Jennifer Hudson Show2022
Another singer turned daytime host who brings genuine warmth and curiosity to conversations. Jennifer has real emotional intelligence and isn't afraid to go deeper. The musical performances are lovely too.
But It's newer and still finding its identity. Some segments feel like they're looking for what works, and the show hasn't quite found its consistent rhythm yet.

The Drew Barrymore Show2020
Drew's infectious energy and willingness to be vulnerable about her own life creates real connection. She's interested in people, not just their credits. Games and performances feel genuinely fun rather than contractual.
But The energy can tip into manic sometimes. If you prefer talk shows that sit still, the constant movement and sound effects will exhaust you.

Shrinking2023
Kelly's best moments on her show came when she connected with someone about grief, divorce, or failure. This show does that same work: finding the humor and the heartbreak in the things that actually matter to people.
A comedy-drama about a therapist and his patients. It has Kelly's warmth and her gift for finding humor in real emotional pain—the ability to make you laugh and then gut-punch you in the same scene. Deeply human television.
But It's not a talk show format at all. If you're looking for the interview structure and celebrity guests, this goes to a completely different place.

Heartstopper2022
Both Kelly and this show believe that connection and kindness matter. No irony shield, no protective distance. Just genuine interest in how people actually feel. The show trusts that sincerity is enough.
A British series about teenagers falling in love. It has the same gift for unguarded emotional connection and humor that Kelly brings to her interviews. Warm, silly, genuine, and surprisingly moving. You won't expect to care this much.
But It's a coming-of-age show about teenagers, and it's very sincere in its earnestness. If you find that register cloying or too wholesome, the sentiment will feel precious instead of touching.
