Cringe comedy
Cringe comedy is built on the moment you want to look away from the screen but can't, because someone has just said the wrong thing to a room full of people and is doubling down. The humour lives in the excruciating pause after a bad joke, the forced smile, the friend who should have stopped. You laugh, then wince, then laugh harder at yourself for enjoying it.
