This isn't disaster-movie spectacle so much as a masterclass in competence under pressure. Chin and Vasarhelyi (Free Solo) reconstruct how a scattered group of eccentric amateur cave divers, more comfortable underground than at parties, became the only people on Earth capable of saving twelve trapped boys. It's procedural, humane, and genuinely nail-biting despite you already knowing the outcome.

But Rougher production values, uneven pacing, and less starry access than the Hollywood-backed doc. It's a companion piece, not a replacement.
