Tiny Toons Looniversity
- Slapstick
- Light-hearted
A college comedy following Buster Bunny and friends as they train to become professional cartoons under the Looney Tunes. Cheerful, fast-paced, and stacked with visual gags, it captures the anarchic spirit of the original while embracing modern animation. For anyone who grew up with the '90s show, or newcomers who love comedy that doesn't talk down to kids.

Animaniacs1993
A direct spiritual sibling with the same chaotic energy, fast jokes, and genuine heart. The Warner siblings' brand of humor—pop culture riffs mixed with slapstick—will feel instantly familiar and joyfully absurd.
But Moves at breakneck speed; some jokes land better than others, and the constant barrage can feel exhausting rather than exhilarating if you prefer breathing room in comedy.

DuckTales2017
A 2017 reboot that proves you can honor the original while building something fresh. Witty, gorgeously animated, and it trusts its audience to follow complex character arcs alongside gags.
But Balances comedy with genuine drama and mystery; if you want pure laughs without emotional stakes, this might feel too invested in plot.

Craig of the Creek2018
Wholesome adventure with sharp writing and genuine affection for its characters. HBO Max's best animated series—indie in spirit but produced with real craft and respect for audience intelligence.
But Quieter and more grounded than Tiny Toons; less about joke density, more about world-building and character relationships.

Something you would not have found on your own.
12 oz. Mouse2005
Both shows are built on the principle that animation can be a delivery system for gags rather than needing to justify itself through plot. Tiny Toons is the approachable version; this is what happens when that principle gets weaponized.
An utterly unhinged Adult Swim masterpiece that proves absurdist comedy animated can be genuinely hilarious. Deliberately poorly drawn, incomprehensible plot, pure chaos—and it's brilliant.
But Deliberately difficult; it has no conventional narrative, poor animation quality by design, and requires patience with confusion as part of the joke.

Looney Tunes Cartoons2020
Brand new theatrical-style shorts that capture the pure spirit of classic Looney Tunes. If you want to see how the masters themselves approached gag comedy, this is essential context.
But The formats are short and episodic; there's no ongoing story, which some viewers find less engaging than serialized narrative.

Bob's Burgers2011
Found family comedy with ridiculous humor and genuine heart. Every character gets to be weird and funny without the show ever losing affection for them—exactly the tone Tiny Toons should hit.
But More grounded and domestic than slapstick; if you're here strictly for anarchic gags, this focuses too much on mundane burger shop life.

Harley Quinn2019
Chaotic, irreverent, and genuinely funny. Proves that animated comedies aimed at adults can have razor-sharp dialogue, character development, and jokes that land on multiple levels.
But Rated for mature audiences with explicit language and content; tonally much darker and cruder than the lighter Tiny Toons universe.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power2018
Adventure with humor woven throughout, strong character work, and a real sense of found family. Animated with genuine care, it builds something you actually care about.
But Heavily serial with ongoing plot threads; if you want standalone gag-based episodes, this requires commitment to a larger story.

Amphibia2019
A girl transported to a frog world learns about friendship and courage. Balances comedy, heart, and adventure without ever feeling saccharine. Great for all ages, genuinely moving.
But Slower pacing in early episodes; the humor is gentler and the show takes time to develop its emotional core rather than bombarding you with jokes.

The Owl House2020
A human in a demon world learns magic and discovers herself. Funny, visually inventive, and surprisingly affecting. Manages slapstick, character comedy, and genuine heart simultaneously.
But Canceled before its intended end; the final season is rushed. If you hate incomplete stories, this ending will frustrate you.
