Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures
A bright, fast-paced animated adventure where Pac-Man and his friends defend their planet from ghostly invaders. It's Saturday-morning energy with genuine heart—colourful, accessible to kids but with enough personality that adults won't feel trapped. Cheerful action-comedy that doesn't condescend.
Should you watch it?
Watch it if you grew up with Pac-Man's maze-chasing cheer and want a bright, fast cartoon where a hungry yellow hero jumps, zooms and gobbles his way through a colorful world with a little adventure-serial energy.
Skip it if you want a grounded story or sharp, adult humor; this is a gentle kids' show with simple stakes, broad slapstick and a lot of bright, repetitive action.
What it asks of you: Each episode runs about half an hour, so it's a light commitment, with plenty of motion and little need to track complicated plot threads.

Craig of the Creek2018
A group of kids solve mysteries and navigate their world with warmth and humour. It has the same spirit of friendship-driven adventure and genuine peril that never becomes dark.
But The slice-of-life pacing is gentler than Pac-Man's action beats. If you need constant motion, this might feel slow.

Gravity Falls2012
Mystery, humour, and real stakes wrapped in a family-friendly package. The bond between protagonists mirrors Pac-Man's team dynamic, and the plotting is genuinely clever.
But It leans into supernatural mystery over lighthearted adventure. The tone darkens as it goes—different energy from Pac-Man's consistent brightness.

The Owl House2020
A protagonist discovers a magical world and builds a found family while facing genuine antagonists. The character work is excellent and the humour lands for everyone in the room.
But It's more invested in character drama than action sequences. The Disney Channel earnestness may feel slow if you're here purely for cartoon chaos.

The wildcard
Something you would not have found on your own.
Infinity Train2019
Both are adventure series about traversing strange worlds, but Infinity Train asks darker questions about desire and identity. It shows what happens when a Pac-Man-style journey becomes introspective instead of celebratory.
A surreal, gorgeously animated anthology series about passengers on a magical train, each seeking something. It's imaginative without losing emotional weight—pure creativity from writers given real freedom.
But It's genuinely weird and unsettling at times. The anthology structure means no ongoing cast to root for, and some episodes are deliberately bleak.

Adventure Time: Distant Lands2020
Two adventurers explore a wild world, facing monsters and weird magic. It has boundless invention and the same sense that anything could happen next episode.
But Tone shifts wildly across seasons and some episodes veer into surrealism that can feel aimless. Not every installment lands.

Sonic Boom2014
A video game icon gets reinvented as a comedy with genuine affection for its source material. The self-aware humour and friendship focus match Pac-Man's wavelength exactly.
But The comedy sometimes overshadows the action. If you want thrills over laughs, you might find it too jokey.

Regular Show2010
Two friends navigate absurd situations with escalating stakes and surprisingly heartfelt character moments. It finds humour in the ordinary-turned-extraordinary, like Pac-Man does with its premise.
But The animation style is deliberately flat and retro. The humour skews older and sometimes deadpan—very different energy from Pac-Man's enthusiasm.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power2018
A hero and her found family fight an evil empire across a magical world. There's genuine spectacle, character growth, and the same sense of a team working together against the odds.
But It prioritizes emotional storytelling and romance alongside action. If you want pure adventure without the feelings, this goes deeper than Pac-Man does.

Ben 102005
A kid discovers alien powers and battles threats across the world with his family. It balances action, humour, and growing stakes—a formula that clearly influenced shows like Pac-Man.
But Early seasons can feel repetitive. The special effects are of their era and haven't aged as smoothly as hand-drawn animation.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated2010
The gang solves mysteries week to week while an overarching plot builds toward something significant. It's nostalgic, funny, and proves a familiar formula can still surprise you.
But It's slower to build than Pac-Man and some mythology episodes feel tangential. If you want pure action, the mystery setup can feel padded.

Amphibia2019
Both follow a protagonist building a team in a fantastic world, but Amphibia uses that structure to explore how people grow when they're away from home. It's Pac-Man's adventure framework rebuilt around emotional stakes instead of action loops.
A girl is transported to a frog world and must survive alongside new companions. It has adventure and humour, but beneath that runs genuine character study—people changing, relationships deepening, small moments that matter hugely.
But The early episodes play it pretty straight as a fish-out-of-water comedy. The real richness emerges slowly, and some viewers find the first season slower than it needs to be.
