Borgen follows Birgitte Nyborg, an unlikely centrist who becomes Denmark's first female Prime Minister, and traces what governing actually costs her — marriage, motherhood, sleep, self. It's a workplace drama disguised as a political one: coalition maths, media spin, and the slow erosion of principle by circumstance. Cerebral, humane, and addictive in a quiet, unshowy way.
