Yeah Right! is Girl Skateboard's landmark 2003 video that redefined skateboarding cinema through technical innovation and artistic ambition. Shot with pioneering slow-motion and visual effects, it transforms street skating into something dreamlike and sculptural. Essential for skate culture; hypnotic for anyone who loves watching humans master their craft with style.

Beautiful Losers2008
Explores the same artistic rebellion and DIY spirit that defines Girl Skateboards. Mixes skate culture, street art, and music into something that feels like Yeah Right!'s spiritual cousin.
But More experimental and loose in structure. Requires patience for essays over montage.

Dogtown and Z-Boys2002
The origin story of modern skateboarding culture. Shows where the attitude and fearlessness in Yeah Right! actually comes from, with incredible archival footage and interviews.
But Released just before Yeah Right! and covers different era entirely. You might want something more contemporary.

Cherry2009
Follows a single skater's obsessive pursuit of one perfect trick. Shows the meditative, almost spiritual side of the discipline that Yeah Right! hints at through its visual beauty.
But Very narrow focus. Not a broad survey; more like a portrait. Can feel repetitive if that intensity isn't your speed.

The wildcard
Something you would not have found on your own.
Koyaanisqatsi1983
Both prove that slow-motion and careful visual composition can turn movement into poetry. Yeah Right! learned from Koyaanisqatsi's visual grammar.
A visual essay with no dialogue that uses slow-motion, layering, and music to make the mundane transcendent. Same technique as Yeah Right!, but applied to the entire world—utterly hypnotic.
But Experimental and abstract. No narrative, no characters. Demands active attention. Could feel pretentious compared to the accessibility of skateboarding.

Landspeed presents: CKY1999
Tony Magnusson pushing downhill skating to impossible speeds. Pure adrenaline and risk-taking—the physical commitment that makes the artistry in Yeah Right! possible.
But Brief and slight. More of a highlight reel than a full experience. Leaves you wanting more substance.

Eolomea1972
Both treat their subject with such formal sophistication that the medium becomes as important as the content. They ask you to see movement and composition as enough. Both are cinema as poetry, not document.
A Romanian avant-garde film about two men wandering through landscapes, shot with painterly attention to light and form. Hypnotic, meditative, utterly unlike anything you'd expect—but shares Yeah Right!'s obsession with making bodies and spaces beautiful.
But Glacially slow, dialogue in Romanian, experimental structure. At 169 minutes, it demands complete surrender. Yeah Right! is 71 minutes and thrilling; this is the opposite.
