Knock Knock
Other titles called Knock Knock: the 2015 film.
- Slapstick
- Light-hearted
- Dip in and out
A seven-minute cartoon where Woody Woodpecker's relentless pecking drives Andy Panda's father to increasingly absurd countermeasures. It's pure slapstick energy: no plot bloat, just a man versus a bird in an escalating battle of schemes and chaos. Peak early-1940s Warner Bros. style—silly, violent in that cartoonish way, and over before it wears out its welcome.
Should you watch it?
Watch it if you relish tight, escalating cartoon slapstick where one small pest turns a quiet house into a battlefield, with timing doing all the work.
Skip it if you want story, character, or anything beyond one repeated gag, since it is built on a single joke that rests on a familiar setup and dated broad humour.
What it asks of you: Very little of your time: barely seven minutes, and it moves at a brisk clip, with no pauses for the audience to catch its breath.

The wildcard
Something you would not have found on your own.
The Dover Boys at Pimento University or The Rivals of Roquefort Hall1942
Both are ultra-short Warner Bros. cartoons where physical comedy IS the entire content—no setup beyond 'here's a situation,' then seven minutes of escalation.
This Looney Tunes seven-minute short is what happens when animators stop pretending physics apply. The entire film is held together by visual gags and breakneck timing rather than plot. It's the cartoon equivalent of Knock Knock—pure format, no filler.
But There is almost no story and almost no dialogue. If you watch cartoons for narrative, you will feel lost.
