A sprawling Russian medieval epic about duty, bloodlust, and the cost of mercy in a world governed by vengeance law. Operatic in scale, brutal in execution, it asks whether a bastard prince can choose compassion when his entire culture demands his brother's death. Made for viewers hungry for morally complicated historical spectacle.
