Baaghi
A kinetic action-romance about a hot-headed fighter who must rescue his lost love from a martial arts champion. Tiger Shroff's explosive physicality anchors this globe-trotting thriller, which trades plot coherence for eye-catching set pieces and romantic melodrama. Built for audiences who want spectacle, charm, and a hero who solves problems with his body.
Should you watch it?
Watch it if you want a loud, kinetic Bollywood action romance where the fight choreography does the storytelling and a love story rides along on a motorbike, with a hero who fights first and thinks later.
Skip it if you find Hindi-language masala films exhausting, since it runs over two hours and piles on melodrama, sudden shifts of tone and a lot of shouting between its bruising set pieces.
What it asks of you: Settle in for about 134 minutes of mostly brisk momentum, with the emotional beats hammered home rather than quietly earned, and a willingness to accept big, unsubtle feeling as the default register.

Dhoom2004
The template for Bollywood action thrillers: stylish chase sequences, charismatic leads with real chemistry, and a plot that moves too fast to question. High-octane fun that takes itself just seriously enough.
But The story is tissue-thin and the characterization nonexistent. You're there for the stunts, not for depth.

Commando - A One Man Army2013
Another Vidyut Jammwal showcase that understands action cinema doesn't need plot sophistication. Inventive fight choreography, global locations, and a straightforward rescue narrative that never pretends to be more than it is.
But The romantic subplot is wooden and the dialogue is functional at best. If you need character development, look elsewhere.

Ek Tha Tiger2012
Salman Khan as a spy balances action spectacle with surprising emotional beats. Slick direction, exotic locations, and a love story that actually has stakes. It knows what it is and executes it confidently.
But The second half sags under the weight of its own romance. Some action set pieces feel repetitive after a while.

Something you would not have found on your own.
The Night Comes For Us2018
Both are built on the promise of a star's physicality and trust an audience to invest in action sequences as their own narrative. Baaghi is romantic spectacle; this is artistic brutalism—same DNA, opposite moods.
An Indonesian action thriller with some of the most visceral, inventive fight choreography ever filmed. Long takes, brutal efficiency, and a clarity of movement that puts most Bollywood action to shame. It's proof that pure physicality can carry a film.
But The plot is nonexistent and the emotional register is bleak throughout. It's violence as poetry, which means it's relentless and sometimes exhausting.

Bang Bang!2014
Hrithik Roshan in a glossy, high-budget heist-action hybrid with genuinely impressive stunts and globe-trotting glamour. Katrina Kaif grounds the chaos, and the chemistry between them carries you through the implausibility.
But The plot is an afterthought and the editing can be choppy. If you need logical coherence, you'll be frustrated.

The Delta Force1986
John Abraham's raw physicality in a lean revenge thriller that doesn't overstay its welcome. Taut pacing, brutal action, and a commitment to practical stunts that gives the violence real weight.
But It's visually flat and the emotional core is thin. The supporting cast is forgettable.

Heropanti2014
Tiger Shroff's debut, which established his martial arts credentials with genuinely impressive action sequences and parkour-influenced choreography. A smaller film that lets you see why he became a star.
But The romance is saccharine and the villain is barely present. The plot is almost entirely absent.

Captain America: Civil War2016
A spy-action thriller that prioritizes scale and choreography, with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in a battle of physicality. Slick production values and genuine stunt work throughout.
But The story twist is nonsensical and undermines everything that came before. Character motivations disappear in the final act.

Krrish2006
A Bollywood superhero origin story with genuine charm, practical action sequences, and a romance that breathes. Hrithik Roshan is charismatic and the film balances spectacle with heart.
But The pacing is uneven and some scenes drag. The CGI, by 2006 standards, hasn't aged well.

Action Jackson2014
A high-energy action comedy with Ajay Devgn's trademark intensity applied to an absurdist crime plot. Fast, loud, committed to not making sense.
But It's exhausting rather than fun, with gags that land sporadically. The noise level can feel punishing.

Ong-Bak2003
Baaghi owes everything to Ong Bak's vocabulary of martial arts cinema—the philosophy that a great fighter and great choreography can justify almost any narrative.
Tony Jaa's breakthrough: a Thai action film with Muay Thai choreography so precise and stunning that it rewrote what action cinema could be. Every punch and kick is real, inventive, and shot to be understood. It's the spiritual grandfather of Tiger Shroff's whole aesthetic.
But The plot about a stolen Buddha statue is genuinely silly and the emotional beats are thin. The early 2000s film stock looks dated now.

Andaz Apna Apna1994
Like Baaghi, it's a film that knows its genre's grammar and plays within it unselfconsciously. But where Baaghi trades in romance and action, this trades in comedy and character—same Bollywood confidence, completely different register. It's proof that spectacle (here, laughs) can be as valid as stunts.
A romantic comedy caper that plays with Bollywood tropes while being genuinely funny—two con men chase the same woman through increasingly absurd schemes. Aamir Khan and Salman Khan's chemistry is electric, and it never runs out of ideas.
But The humor is broad and often stupid, which is the point but also means it can feel juvenile. It's 149 minutes and occasionally indulgent.
