But It's an argument, not a story — dense, fast, and built to make you angry rather than entertain you.

Swap Salieri for Suge Knight and Mozart for Tupac and the shape barely changes: genius, industry, rivalry, waste. Same tragedy, entirely different costume.

A powdered-wig period drama running on the exact same engine — a wildly gifted, self-destructive young artist chewed up by jealousy, patronage and his own excess, watched by a rival who can't decide whether to help or destroy him.

But Three hours of 18th-century Vienna and classical music is a hard sell if you came for hip-hop and Death Row.

All Eyez on Me turns Tupac's environment into a backdrop for greatness. This film, made a decade before he was even signed, shows what that same world looked like without a legend narrating it.

A quiet, black-and-white 1978 film about a slaughterhouse worker in Watts, shot on a shoestring student budget — no mythology, just the texture of the neighbourhoods Tupac later turned into legend.

But Almost nothing happens in the way a plot usually happens; it's slow, plain, and deliberately unglamorous.
