Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu joined the same demon-slaying training as Tanjiro and insists loudly that he is a coward, weeping and begging to quit at the first sign of danger. He chases girls, screams about dying, and collapses into despair before every fight. He wants only to survive and, ideally, run home.

His entire comic register is undercut by one trick: he fights better asleep than awake, and the switch from sniveling to devastating is played for both laughter and awe. Hiro Shimono's shrieking delivery makes the panic feel genuine rather than cheap, so the eventual competence lands as earned rather than a punchline reversal.
