Character

Walker

Walker in Yellowstone (2018), played by Ryan Bingham.

Walker turns up at the Yellowstone bunkhouse as just another drifter looking for work, guitar slung over his shoulder and a prison stretch behind him. He's easy with a song and quick with a grin, but there's a restlessness under the charm — a man who isn't sure he belongs to anyone or anywhere, including this ranch.

Ryan Bingham is a working musician first, and the show leans into that instead of hiding it — Walker's songs feel lived-in rather than performed, giving the bunkhouse scenes a real hush. Against the ranch's code of brutal loyalty, he plays like an outsider testing the water, and that unforced wariness makes him easy to root for.

Walker is a cowboy and aspiring country singer, as well as a convicted felon. Because of that, Rip Wheeler chooses him as a suitable hired ranch hand for the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
