Tronte Nielsen 1986

Tronte Nielsen wears the uniform of a small-town policeman in Winden, steady and dutiful on the surface. At home he is married to Charlotte and still living with the unhealed disappearance of his young son, Mads, a wound the town never let him close. When another child goes missing, he investigates with the same careful, guarded calm, giving little away.

Felix Kramer plays Tronte as a man holding himself together through procedure, and the performance lets grief leak out sideways — in a pause, a held stare, an unnecessary thoroughness. The writing gives him a private catastrophe underneath a public role, and Kramer never overplays it, which is exactly why it lands.
