Tony

Tony is a small presence in Mindhunter's world of profilers, prisoners and case files — the kind of figure who appears at the edges of an interview room or a police department, doing a job rather than driving the plot. The show gives him little space to want anything beyond getting through the scene in front of him.

Mindhunter's strength has always been texture — the sense that its 1970s FBI exists inside a wider bureaucracy of ordinary people. Kenneth Israel's Tony belongs to that texture: unshowy, procedural, a reminder that the horror the show studies happens inside a world of paperwork, patrol cars and men just doing their shift.
