Theodore Aloysius "Theo" Huxtable

Theo is the only son among the Huxtable kids, an amiable teenager more interested in clothes, girls, and getting by than in schoolwork. He's charming and a little lazy, prone to grand schemes for avoiding effort, and often finds himself on the receiving end of his parents' patient, pointed lessons about responsibility.

The show could have made him a punchline, but Warner plays Theo's confidence and vulnerability so honestly that his fumbles feel true rather than sitcom-convenient. His famous scene defending his mediocre grades gave the character real emotional stakes early on, and Warner's easy charisma made an ordinary teenage boy feel worth rooting for.
