Tariq Butt

Tariq Butt moves through Traffik's Pakistani strand of the story as a man embedded in the heroin trade's supply side, practical and unsentimental about the business he's part of. He speaks in the measured tones of someone used to negotiating danger, treating the drug economy as simply how the world around him works.

Talat Hussain plays him without melodrama, which is exactly what the character needs: Traffik refuses to caricature its non-Western participants as villains, and Hussain's quiet, unshowy authority makes Tariq Butt feel like a product of circumstance and economics rather than a stock trafficker, giving the series' moral complexity a human face.
