Spiros "Vondas" Vondopoulos

Vondas is the affable right hand of "The Greek," moving through the Baltimore underworld with the calm of a man who has never once raised his voice in anger. He runs an import operation out of the port that seems, on the surface, almost boring in its professionalism — which is precisely the point.

Paul Ben-Victor plays him as pure businessman, all courtesy and mild eye contact, which makes him far more unsettling than any shouting kingpin. The show uses his politeness as a joke that curdles: the nicer Vondas is, the more you understand how little morality has to do with how he operates.
