Scott Brown

Scott is one of the five strangers pulled into OA's late-night gatherings, an odd, brainy presence with a chemistry set and a private fascination with near-death experience. He is prickly, funny, and clearly unwell in a way he does not dwell on, more interested in proof than comfort, and drawn to OA's story despite himself.

Will Brill plays Scott with a jittery, deadpan energy that keeps the show's mysticism grounded — he wants evidence, not faith, which makes his eventual openness feel earned rather than credulous. The character's mix of scientific curiosity and quiet vulnerability gives the ensemble its skeptic, and Brill makes that skepticism feel like its own kind of hope.
