Rachel Gattina

Rachel Gattina arrives at Tree Hill High like a dare nobody made. Rich, reckless, and allergic to boundaries, she muscles onto the cheer squad, needles Brooke Davis for sport, and chases whatever party or boy promises the most trouble. She's brash, funny, and seemingly untouched by consequence — a girl who dares you to underestimate her.

Danneel Ackles plays Rachel's bravado without apologizing for it, finding real comic timing in the character's shamelessness while letting flickers of something rawer show underneath the smirk. The writing hands her every mean-girl cliché and then, gradually, complicates it, but it's Ackles's refusal to soften Rachel prematurely that makes her worth watching.
