Peter

Peter is the older brother in the Briggs household, sharing a bedroom and a rivalry with Jonny that swings between torment and grudging alliance. He's sharper-tongued and more worldly than his younger sibling, quick to exploit Jonny's naivety for a laugh or an advantage, though he's not without a rough affection underneath the teasing.

Alex Moran plays Peter with the exact pitch of a real older brother — bored contempt one minute, co-conspirator the next — which grounds the show's sillier flights of fancy in something recognisably domestic. The sibling friction gives Jonny Briggs its emotional spine, and Peter's needling makes Jonny's daydreaming feel earned rather than random.
