Number Eight

Sharon Valerii, callsign Boomer, flies Vipers off the Galactica and is well liked by her crewmates, dependable under fire but privately anxious, plagued by blackouts and nightmares she cannot explain. She wants only to be trusted and to do her job well, with no idea yet of what she actually is.

Grace Park plays the dramatic irony without ever tipping her hand, letting Boomer's competence and self-doubt sit side by side so naturally that the character reads as fully human long before the show forces the question of what that word even means. It's a performance built on things unsaid.
