Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko is the sole other survivor of her family's slaughter, transformed into a demon in the attack. Muzzled with a bamboo gag and carried on her brother Tanjiro's back, she sleeps through most danger, but when roused she fights with startling ferocity to shield humans rather than devour them.

She's a demon who never speaks a line of dialogue for most of her early appearances, yet Akari Kitō makes her muffled growls and small gestures carry real tenderness and rage. The show trusts physical performance over exposition, turning restraint into one of anime's most affecting character introductions.
