Mrs. Wade

Mrs. Wade appears as one of the many ordinary people drawn into the orbit of the FBI's behavioral science work, someone with knowledge or a connection the agents need and no particular wish to be involved. She is guarded, practical, and answers questions carefully, giving away only as much as she has to.

Enid Graham plays her with the flat, watchful caution of a person who has learned that talking to authority rarely goes well for her. The show's interest in ordinary witnesses over its own agents gives her scenes weight, and Graham fills the small role with real, specific unease rather than generic reticence.
