Mr. Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan is the adult in the room at the Junior Gazette, the harried overseer whose job is to keep a newspaper staffed entirely by teenagers within shouting distance of order. He watches Lynda Day and her reporters with a mix of exasperation and grudging pride, forever caught between institutional rules and the chaos his young charges generate.

He's the necessary counterweight to Press Gang's fizzing teen energy, and Nick Stringer plays him without condescension — a working adult with his own pressures, not a punchline. The comedy comes from how visibly he's outmatched by kids sharper than the system meant to contain them, and how often he lets them win anyway.
