Mikkel Nielsen

Mikkel is the youngest of the Nielsen children in the small town of Winden, an ordinary boy tagging along with his older brother Jonas and friends on a night walk into the woods. He is curious, a little anxious, and utterly unaware that he is about to vanish without a trace.

Daan Lennard Liebrenz gives Mikkel the unremarkable normalcy that makes his disappearance so unsettling — he is nobody's idea of a mystery until he becomes the town's obsession. The show uses his ordinariness as its hinge, and the performance never oversells the stakes, which is exactly why they land.
