Lyta Alexander

Lyta Alexander is Babylon 5's resident telepath, a Psi Corps employee assigned to scan incoming ships and dignitaries for security. She wears the regulation gloves, follows the rules, and keeps a careful, professional distance from everyone around her. Quiet and watchful, she seems content to do her job and stay out of station politics.

Patricia Tallman plays her early scenes with a stiff, corporate correctness that makes her later loosening feel earned rather than sudden. The show uses her modest starting role — a telepath doing scans, nothing more — to quietly seed how much room a character like this has to grow once the story needs her to.
