Lucinda Barry

Lucinda Barry turns up in Shawn's orbit as one of the sharp, self-possessed women Psych likes to drop into its case-of-the-week machinery — poised, quick with a comeback, and never quite as easy to read as the pseudo-psychic detective would like. She holds her own in a scene, which on this show is its own kind of introduction.

Anne Dudek has a gift for playing composed women with something amused ticking underneath, and Psych's fizzy, fast-talking style gives her plenty of room to use it. Even in a guest turn, she matches the show's rhythm instead of just riding it, which is why she's the kind of face you remember after the episode ends.
