Lt. Commander Worf

Worf arrives on Deep Space Nine as a Starfleet officer on loan, assigned as strategic operations officer. A Klingon raised partly among humans, he is formal, disciplined, and uneasy with levity, holding himself and everyone around him to a strict code of honor. He wants respect, order, and a battle worth fighting.

Michael Dorn plays him with a stillness that makes every flicker of humor or embarrassment land twice as hard. The show leans into the comedy of his rigidity without ever mocking it, letting his seriousness be both punchline and point of pride. He anchors the station's tone shift toward war with genuine gravity.
