Kurona Yasuhisa

Kurona first appears as one half of a lethal pair of ghouls who prey on other ghouls rather than humans, a habit that marks her as an outsider even among monsters. She moves with a strange, childlike affect, clinging close to her partner Nashiro, and turns coldly efficient the moment a fight begins.

Aoi Yūki plays the contradiction beautifully — a voice full of playful, almost babyish warmth wrapped around someone capable of real violence, so every scene she's in carries a low hum of unease. The writing keeps her motives opaque just long enough that her devotion to Nashiro reads as the only fixed, legible thing about her.
