Kilian Obendorf

Kilian Obendorf is one of the Winden teenagers whose lives tangle together in the town's strange present. Loud, a little cruel, and always looking for an angle, he drifts around the edges of the main friend group, more interested in petty schemes and posturing than in the missing children everyone else is suddenly obsessed with.

Dark rarely wastes screen time on pure texture, and Kilian is one of the show's few characters who exists mostly to make the ordinary teenage world feel lived-in and unglamorous. Sammy Scheuritzel plays him with a slouchy, unbothered nastiness that makes the eerier threads of the show land harder by contrast.
