Keith Scott

Keith is Lucas's uncle, the steady adult in a town full of shaky ones, running Keith's Auto Shop and quietly holding old wounds from his brother Dan. He's watchful and kind, half father-figure to Lucas, half cautionary tale about roads not taken, especially where Karen is concerned.

Sheffer plays him with a weary decency that never curdles into martyrdom — you can see the younger man he was underneath the mechanic's coveralls. The show uses him as a moral counterweight to Dan, and Sheffer makes that goodness feel lived-in rather than saintly, which is why the audience leans on him.
