Juuzou Suzuya

Juuzou is a young investigator with the CCG, first seen skipping through violence with a grin more suited to a playground than a battlefield. His body is a patchwork of stitches and scars, his speech singsong, and his approach to hunting ghouls treats death as a game he's delighted to be winning.

Rie Kugimiya's high, chirpy delivery makes his cheerful cruelty land harder than any growl could — the mismatch between voice and violence is the whole unsettling joke. The show lets him stay genuinely strange rather than softening him into comic relief, so every scene keeps you off balance about what he'll do next.
