Jared Talbot

Jared Talbot is a young hand at the Talbot tire store, related to Ted Jr. by blood but not by history — too young to remember the crime that convicted Daniel, and too easygoing to care much about the town's old grudges. He works, jokes, and treats Daniel like an ordinary coworker, which in this town is its own kind of statement.

He's the show's quiet proof that not everyone in this suffocating little town is carrying twenty years of grief and suspicion — Jake Austin Walker plays him loose and unbothered, a small patch of normal air in a series that's mostly about people who can't breathe. His ease with Daniel says more than a speech would.
