James "Jamie" Scott

Jamie is the son of Nathan and Haley Scott, introduced after One Tree Hill jumps forward in time to find him already a sharp, basketball-obsessed kid growing up in his parents' shadow. He's quick-witted beyond his years, adores his dad, and watches the grown-up dramas around him with more understanding than anyone expects from a child.

Jackson Brundage plays him without the usual sitcom-kid cuteness — Jamie has a watchfulness that makes him feel like a real product of the Scott family's chaos rather than a prop. The show uses him to soften its melodrama and ground its adults, and Brundage's easy rapport with his on-screen parents makes those scenes feel lived-in rather than written.
