Izutsumi

Izutsumi is a cat-like beastman the party finds deep in the dungeon, feral with distrust and quick to bare claws at anyone who gets too close. She wants to be left alone, resents being rescued, and treats kindness as a trap waiting to spring. Reluctantly, she travels with them anyway.

The show could have made her a cute mascot; instead it lets her prickliness be real, rooted in something genuinely painful about what she is and how she was made. Mitsuho Kambe plays the hostility without softening it for likability, so the small moments where her guard slips land with real weight rather than sentimentality.
