Inosuke Hashibira

A wild presence in a boar's head mask, Inosuke crashes into the story bellowing challenges at anyone nearby, Tanjiro included. Raised apart from people, he fights half-naked with a pair of jagged serrated blades, treats every encounter as a contest to be won, and insists loudly on his own superiority even when he has no idea what's going on.

The joke is that he's feral and proud of it, but the show keeps finding the boy underneath the posturing — awkward, easily flustered, weirdly earnest about fairness. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka plays the bluster at full volume without ever losing the vulnerability that makes his growing loyalty to his friends land as real rather than convenient.
