Griffith

Griffith commands the Band of the Hawk, a mercenary company he's built from nothing into a rising force in a war-torn kingdom. Beautiful, composed, and unnervingly self-possessed, he speaks of a dream to have his own kingdom someday. He recruits the drifter Guts with quiet, magnetic certainty, treating him less as a hire than as something rarer.

The writing gives Griffith an ambition so total it reads as purity, and Morikawa plays him with a calm, cultured voice that never strains — command comes to him like breathing. That stillness is the trick: he sounds like a man entirely at peace with himself, which makes every glimpse of what that peace has cost him land harder.
