Gore

Gore turns up in the orbit of the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit, another face among the bureaucrats and colleagues Holden Ford and Bill Tench have to navigate as they try to legitimize their work studying killers. He is measured, procedural, and unimpressed by theory that hasn't yet proven itself.

Robert Sella plays him with the flat, watchful patience of a career institutional man, someone who has seen enthusiasm before and knows how the bureau tends to grind it down. It's a small role, but it supplies the friction the show needs: proof that not everyone is convinced serial killers are worth listening to.
