Gloria Stivic

Gloria is Archie Bunker's only daughter, newly married to the college-educated Mike and still living under her father's roof. She's caught between her father's rigid old-world prejudices and her husband's progressive politics, often serving as peacemaker while asserting her own emerging independence as a young wife trying to figure out who she wants to be.

Struthers gives Gloria a sweetness that never curdles into simplicity; she can burst into tears one moment and deliver a sharp rebuke to Archie the next.
