Character
Giana O'Neill
Giana O'Neill in Battlestar Galactica (2003), played by Lymari Nadal.
Giana works at Graystone Industries, one of the sharp, capable people orbiting Daniel Graystone's ambitions in the years before the Cylon war. She is professional, focused, and easy to underestimate — the kind of employee who gets things done quietly while bigger personalities take the credit around her.
Lymari Nadal plays her with a controlled, watchful stillness that makes you lean in rather than look away — every scene suggests she's holding something back. It's a small role built almost entirely on subtext, and Nadal makes that restraint feel deliberate, like a person doing careful work under someone else's spotlight.
Giana O'Neill was a human refugee who survived the Fall of the Twelve Colonies by winning a lottery drawing, staged by Lieutenant Valerii and Lieutenant Agathon. She was brought to the Fleet on board Raptor 312. Thanks to her experience working at Sun Airways, O'Neill immediately enlisted in the Colonial Fleet as a deck hand to replace the ones lost during the Fall.
