Frank Harkness

Frank Harkness turns up as a hard, watchful American with a private security outfit and a past that stretches back further than anyone at the Park would like. He speaks plainly, moves with total confidence, and clearly answers to no one currently in the room — a man used to being the most dangerous person in it.

Hugo Weaving plays him low and dry, all stillness and flat delivery, so that the menace comes from what he doesn't bother saying rather than what he does. Against Slow Horses' usual chattering, self-loathing spies, his calm is unsettling — a genuinely frightening presence dropped into a show built on farce and exhaustion.
