Francesca

Francesca is a shop assistant in Modena, warm and unpretentious, first met as a friend of a friend showing Dev around her city with easy hospitality. She's engaged, settled in her small-town life, curious about the wider world without being restless for it — content but not closed off to new company.

Mastronardi plays her without any of the deliberate charm a lesser show would reach for; the appeal is in how naturally she listens, how little she performs for the camera. The writing trusts silence and small talk to do the work, letting an ordinary friendship carry real weight before anyone names what it might be.
