Dr. Ebling Mis

Ebling Mis is an exiled scholar living far from the halls of proper academia, nursing his drink and his grudges in equal measure. He's brilliant, cynical, and has spent years chasing the mathematics of Hari Seldon's psychohistory alone, convinced everyone else got it wrong. He doesn't suffer fools, and he doesn't expect anyone to listen.

Siddig plays him as a man who has made peace with being ignored, which makes it electric when he's finally proven right. The writing gives him real intellectual weight rather than eccentric-genius shorthand, and Siddig's weary, precise delivery sells the idea that being correct and being believed are entirely different problems.
