Donna Clark

Donna Clark is Gordon Clark's wife and, though the men around her rarely notice it fast enough, an engineer in her own right. She keeps the household running in early-80s Texas while sizing up her husband's new business partner with open suspicion, sharp-tongued, competent, and visibly larger than the role of supportive spouse she's been handed.

Kerry Bishé plays her competence as something Donna has to keep proving rather than something the story hands her, and that friction is the whole engine of the character. The writing lets her be funny and exacting in the same breath, so her arc from sidelined wife to something else entirely never feels like a twist — it feels earned from the first scene.
