Detective Steve Crosetti

Steve Crosetti is a veteran Baltimore homicide detective with a mustache, a fedora, and an encyclopedic obsession with the Lincoln assassination he can't stop bringing up. He plays the lottery by numerology, distrusts modern policing fads, and treats his cases with a weary, old-school gravity that sets him apart from the younger cops around him.

Jon Polito plays him as a man perpetually amused and exhausted by the world in equal measure, turning a supporting detective into someone whose digressions about Booth and conspiracy theories feel like genuine philosophy rather than comic relief. The show trusts that a character's hobbyhorses can reveal more about mortality than any interrogation scene does.
